The teeth. The sinister eyes. The fin.
It’s Shark Week, dearies, and even I can’t help but obsess about the creatures.
As Kat and I were sitting at the beach (safely away from the water’s edge, mind you) we discussed watching Shark Week’s requisite Great Whites leaping from the depths and attacking poor, unsuspecting seals. We began to muse about their position on the food chain.
Yes, they are the ultimate predator…but humans are still on top! Knowing that, we have designed a “Tea with Sharks” that keep us comfortably at the helm of the food chain.
Tea With Sharks Menu
Tea offering: Wegmans Just Tea Green Tea
There’s something about this basic green tea that is such a lovely compliment to the tropical fruits and “fruits of the sea” on our menu. While many green teas might be described as “grassy,” this tea has a harmonious balance of earthiness. Its essence speaks of summer sun, but it has enough body and flavor to stand on its own or accompany a meal like this one. And one thing that Kat particularly loves about this green tea is that there is a decaffeinated version as well!
Now, they say that you have a better chance of being struck by lightning than being attacked by a shark, but for this week I think when we visit the beach we’ll be enjoying the sand rather than the surf. Just for this week.
