A Taste of Autumn Teas

Dearies, autumn is slowly approaching with crisp earthy breezes and crunchy fall leaves. It is Kat’s favorite time of year! She loves the vibrant colors of falling leaves, and looks forward to the season of apple picking and family gatherings. She enjoys warming up with teas that evoke images of a cuddly warm fire, and baking warm pumpkin pie. She looks for teas that have cranberry, orange, cinnamon, and ginger to enhance autumn flavors.

Her favorite teas of the season are those that are spicy, warming, and cozy. She loves to bake with spices such as nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon, and chooses teas that pair perfectly with this combination. She often will have friends over for a festive fall tea, and serve pumpkin bread along with this HEB Harmony Cranberry Blood Orange tea. A friend first served this tea after a long hike among the crimson leaves, and she couldn’t believe how it enhanced the fall experience. A warm sip of this tea after hiking in the chilly breeze was the perfect way to end the day. The tart cranberry and juicy hints of orange pair perfectly with just about any autumn-spiced snack. You’ll hear the leaves crackling under your feet after just one sip! You can even add a stick of cinnamon to this tea for a sweet and spicy treat.

Another tea she enjoys for more of an unexpected autumn delight is HEB My Cup of Balance Superberry Green tea. Kat picked this tea up a few weeks ago for the blueberry flavor, to pair with breakfast muffins. After tasting it, she was happily surprised by the zesty cranberry essence. Her breakfast-mates were impressed with the strong tangy flavor that holds up to the sweet blueberries. It has become her fall go-to green tea for the sweet and tart berry flavor. The blue and red colors mixed within the green leaves have a festive fall feel. She loves steeping this tea for friends because the cranberry aroma fills the kitchen. It smells just like late autumn family feasts.

You can use any of these fall flavored teas at your next festive gathering, or even take it with you for a post-hike treat. Kat often has her trusty thermos filled with one of these teas to enjoy during a long autumn day filled with outdoor activities.

So cuddle up under a blanket, sip tea, and watch the leaves slowly dance in the wind! What are your favorite fall flavors? Do you pick teas to match them?
